Colour and light
A – stands for achievable
R – stands for realistic
T – stands for true to yourself.

There are many ways to introduce more colour energy and light into your home. By staining some of your plain glass panels, or maybe a wind chime suspended in front of a window can catch the light and throw flashes of colored brilliance.

Colour is a quality of light, and our natural source of light is the sun. We all need and respond to light, if natural sunlight is not present in sufficiently high quantities there is a possibility of suffering from depression. In South Africa, we are relatively lucky that our source of Vitamin D is sufficient for the amount sunlight we receive.

Colour therapists look deeply into the healing vibrations of all the different colour energies as well as to each person’s individual needs, this therapy often resulting in life changing consequences.

Colour healing can actually work on the molecular cell structure of the body and, as a result, there is evidence of astounding success in treating different ailments.

The seven major chakras are located at different points of the body, from the spine to the top of the head. Their positions may vary from person to person. Each chakra represented by a different colour. In addition, the need for different colours of light varies from person to person.

How often do you take the time to walk around the block, even up to central park where the light filters through the pine trees and lights up the park? How often do you sit in your garden and look at the different coloured leaves on the trees and plants?

We are lucky here in Modderfontein, to have the water that changes colour throughout the day, the trees even the brightly coloured blue and black storms.

Make today your first day of appreciating the light, open up your windows, and draw back the curtains. Bring light into your home and appreciate the beauty of the world around you.
